If you choose either one of the case studies, you will need to finish the following so that you can complete the templates provided in the Appendices section of this assessment document:

• determine external standards, legislation and regulations that apply to the quality of your project
• identify the quality standards and requirements that will be applied to the project’s deliverables
• determine the processes, tools and techniques you will use to monitor the quality outcomes of the project
• determine the quality control records and audit documentation you will use to apply quality processes to your project
• develop a quality management plan
If you choose Case study 2 – Thomas and Brian Brown Pty Ltd – you will need to determine the type of company, the products it provides and the industry that it is involved with.
If you choose an external project:
• Ensure that you can successfully complete the templates in the Appendices before you begin
• Make sure you answer all the questions in this assessment
• If there is a question that does not directly apply to your external project, imagine what you would do and write a hypothetical answer.

1. Develop a quality management plan that includes the actions to be taken to maintain quality assurance and control of your project. Include in your plan:

c) Identify the stakeholders of your project. Discuss how you determined or would determine their needs and expectations in regards to quality requirements.
d) Explain how you would follow your organisation’s quality management program, policy and procedures to meet quality outcomes and satisfy stakeholder requirements for your project. Provide at least two examples of how you would achieve quality outcomes and satisfy stakeholders.
e) Provide two examples of how you would effectively communicate with stakeholders to identify and satisfy their needs in regards to quality.
f) List the quality control records and audit documentation you would use and maintain throughout the planning, implementation and review stages of your project.
Explain how each document was used to monitor and maintain your project’s quality requirements.
Discuss the processes used to maintain quality control records and audit documentation.
Provide copies or examples of these documents in your portfolio of evidence.
• Use Appendix 5: ‘Quality control records and audit documentation’ to provide details of your responses to the task.
g) Provide two examples of the tools and methods you would use to measure your project’s quality outcomes to satisfy stakeholder requirements and expectations.
h) Provide two examples of how you would assist your project team to identify your project’s quality requirements.
