Purpose of this assignment is to:
You are required to demonstrate a thorough implementation process has been followed for your project and to evaluate its progress and outcomes in a report format.
The tasks below are a statement of intent which will inform your final report.
This assignment has been designed so that you only need to respond to each task with a brief explanation.
You will then need to expand on your findings from this exercise in your final report (assignment 3)
Task 1

By using the following points as guidance/ headings it may help you to provide a structure you could use for your report
RESOURCES
Explain how you obtained and utilised the resources required for your project
• List resources with a brief description of each
• How did you ensure that they were available?
Task 2

Undertake the proposed project in accordance with the agreed specification
Compare the outcomes of your project to those specified in your project proposal documentation in the following areas:
WORKING WITHIN THE SPECIFICATION AND PROPOSED TIME SCALES
• Copy your original schedule or timescale from the project proposal report
• Highlight / draw attention to what proved different in practice, emphasising significant differences and what
also may have gone as not anticipated
• Briefly comment on your analysis on the comparison of dates and relevant outcomes etc.
Task 3 LO3.1
MONITORING PROGRESS AGAINST THE AGREED PROJECT PLAN & EVALUATION TECHNIQUES USED FOR GENERATING SOLUTIONS
• Indicate problems / barriers / hurdles encountered (and accelerators where appropriate too) and what techniques you used to recognise them (threats or opportunities) and come up with solutions
• How did you monitor progress?
• Referring to the differences between your plan and what actually happened – resource implications, problems encountered etc., explain the impact they had on progress and the achievement of milestones along the way
• How did you adapt your project plan for any changes that were made (if applicable)
Note: this is not an evaluation report (that comes later). This stage is all about what you actually did, how you did it, what went right, what didn’t and how you catered for various events on the way through. Milestones and detailed monitoring records are key to having the required evidence to complete these tasks.

• You must also present a logbook to support your project which will display how you
have monitored collected and analysed information
• Managed ethical and regulatory issues
• Monitored progress and adapted milestones for delays or changes in circumstances.
